New Management Tool Set to Revolutionise Shopping Centre Web Reporting
back to list
UK shopping centres will soon be able to streamline their web presence
and maximise their e-marketing initiatives thanks to a unique new
website service.
mallwebtracker, developed by whitewallmarketing, is a unique and transparent
reporting service for shopping centre website usage providing marketing
managers with a raft of invaluable and consistent management data.
mallwebtracker will allow centres to accurately compare their website
statistics; within their portfolio, against a size category as well
as the mallwebtracker index. Size categories are divided into five
bands from the smallest – up to 99,999 sq feet to the largest
800,000 sq feet and over. In time, regional comparisons will also
be provided.
A number of areas will be reported on including total visitors, page
impressions, new registrations, number of site downloads and number
of referrals to site. Strict guidelines are provided to ensure reporting
is on a like for like basis and, where possible, robotic entries are
filtered out.
Monthly reports will be sent out to subscribers following collection
and collation of relevant data from their website’s statistics
package. This function can be carried out either, by the centre themselves,
or by mallwebtracker’s staff.
The Mall, Lend Lease and Westfield have signed up all their shopping
centre portfolios to mallwebtracker’s reporting service.
Susan Cresswell of whitewallmarketing commented
:
“The shopping centre industry is investing an increasing amount
on websites. Very little, if any, of this budget is being invested
in evaluation of existing sites. mallwebtracker provides key information
for marketing managers when planning website upgrades and evaluating
e-marketing initiatives.”
Ken Ford, Chief Executive of The Mall added:
“In The Mall, if it can’t be measured, we don’t
do it. mallwebtracker gives us a management tool needed to evaluate
our web/online investment. The detailed report will help our marketing
managers keep at the forefront of e-marketing initiatives. Comparison
within the industry can only help raise standards and demystify website
statistics. ”
